The song „Flinch“ is the third song that we release from our live band production in the theater. The piece is about a person who is mentally and partly also emotionally connected to a person from a former love affair. And although this relationship seems to have been over a decade, the person is often still frightened when it suddenly comes down to the person, e.g. the name is mentioned. This detachment process has not yet been properly completed, but it can be handled better and better for the lyrical self as the story progresses. So it says in the song that the lyrical self will soon not be so scared when the other person’s name is mentioned and finally grows up. The piece is therefore filled with more hope and therefore not a too sad love song.

Since I’m a big Alanis fan, I’ve always wanted to cover a song and I think it’s great that I could do that with our band. However, it wasn’t me but Christopher who got the idea to play a song by Alanis with the band!
